Big Mike places second in just his 2nd online poker tourney
Mike Watters wins $15 in just second tourney at Pokerroom.com
Rising Texas Hold 'Em poker star Mike Watters defeated 8 other low rollers in a $6 Texas Hold 'Em one table tourney and walked away with 2nd prize of $15.
Watters was doing well until a bad row of luck allowed the eventual winner to beat his Full House, 10's full of 8's, with 4 6's. The move put two other players out, and put Watters at a near 4-1 chip disadvantage, and, showing his inexperience, he pushed and raised all-in on the next hand, losing to a simple pair of K's.
Watch out for Watters, who vows to one day be just like BobTheMule, a recent recipient of a free trip somewhere to play with the big boys of the World Poker Tour.
"I whip his ass all the time. Watters is a chump.", says play money Hold 'Em scourge Cactus Zeph. "He better not get me in a real game. I'll send him yelping back to Yahoo! Poker."
When asked to comment, Twisted Jungle Poker Champion BobTheMule just laughed uncontrollably.
Watters plans another tourney today, vowing to win the big prize in the $6 dollar bracket before traversing to the $10 games.
More on this developing story as it unfolds.

Running log of my recent exploits.... It's fun...but Bob was trying to explain....why is it harder to win against an idiot? Don't idiots = loose, which potentially could mean good things for you?

a table full of idiots means there are always multiple players in after the flop... which means the top hands drop in value.
I think I told ya before... if 3 people see a flop with you... your pocket aces aren't that big of a favorite anymore.

In other words, dropping hands that look bad at the time, but turn out to be good later?

And I have been seeing the same thing. The other day, i was playing in a penny-ante game. I had about $7 in front of me, and another dude has about $4. I raise big with AK on the button, and get two callers. The flop is K-6-8. One guy checks, the other bets about half the size of the pot. Action is up to me, and I would have been happy to win the 75 cents or so in the pot. I bet out a dollar and a half, (twice the pot size). Both guys flat call me. I had been watching them, and figured them to be on straight draws, as they were morons. The turn card was a queen, which couldnt really have helped anyone unless they were playing KQ, or QQ. Both guys check to me, and I move allin, trying my very best to protect a pot that I think I have won. BOTH guys call. I am asking myself "WTF?" The river is a 7. Cards are turned over, and this is what the hands were. (I am not including suits, since there were no possible flushes.)
Ryan [A-K] Pair of kings with an ace kicker. Soldier [9-10] Ten-high straight. Other guy [4-5] Eight high straight.
Both guys played stupid as hell, and ended up beating me. They were both drawing to 4 "outs" out of 47 possible results, or about a one in six chance after the flop (since there were 2 cards yet to come). The pot would have had to have been roughly $12 to justify them calling my bet there, and would have had to have been about the same to call my bet on the turn card. Neither time was it even half of that. And then "Soldier" took me for the rest of my stack on a similar hand about ten minutes later.
The shitty thing was, i couldnt have done anything else to get them out of the pot. When i went allin, i showed them that I was willing to defend my hand with every single chip in front of me, yet they still called.
The morons on pokerstars WILL get you, because there are so many of them. If there were just a few, you could dodge them. But with half of the players on the site drawing dumb, you will eventually have one buck the odds on you.
