Re: WWE Independant Contractor Lawsuit
Isn't there legal precedent in Nicole Bass's harassment case or something? I can't honestly believe anyone can look at the contract's the WWE forces its performers to sign and not see that they're ridiculously unfair. Just the fact that they don't offer any kind of health insurance in an industry that so dangerous and essentially completely unregulated is bizarre. And, hey, anyone know any other entertainment industry that doesn't have a workers union?
WWE wants to be legitimate and taken seriously by pop culture, but they also want to work like carnies. You can't treat world famous employees of an international, publicly traded company like livestock.
