What do you mean 'catch up'? He doesn't have to match your post count or anything, he can just come in a write the next part of the story, and if he does it better than you then he'll win.

I only said that because I've seen a match decided by a discrepancy in post count before here. I think it was an Aftershock title match with David Hardy, DeSean, and Highone.

Exactly. One random post is about the same as no-showing in terms of what it adds to the story, so it's a no brainer for determining the result in the same way. But if someone makes four posts and their opponent makes five, that doesn't make a difference. If someone makes three and their opponent makes seven, it doesn't make a difference (except that making that many more posts allows the more prolific poster to dictate the story more, so gives them an inherent advantage).

As long as you do enough posts (three or more, usually) then you have as good a shot at winning as your opponent, even if they posted lots more. Raw volume of posting is literally never a consideration in the way people seem to think it is.

Made one final edit that streamlines things. I felt that the original post didn't really give DeSean much to write about.

This way, Izumi and DeSean can exchange words right away, and we can involve the mystery opponent later on.

I think I need to stop submitting my posts so fast. I usually end up getting better ideas for them in the middle of class daydreaming or something.
