PROFESSOR MANDRAKE AND ACOMPLICE CAPTURED BY CAPTAIN PARAGON
Thommy Bupkiss, staff reporter

BLENHEIM-GILBOA DAM, NA - Earlier today, Captain Paragon lead a police team into the bowels of the Blenheim-Gilboa Dam in order to arrest two rogue transhumans who were attempting to commit terrorist activities. The ringleader was none other than recent prison escapee Professor Mandrake, who attacked the dam in one of his fiendish inventions: a giant humanoid battle suit. With him was the transhuman known as Hell Razor - real name Ray Mason - a college student with the ability to transform into a monstrous super-powered being. Both of them were apparently working together, but Captain Paragon was easily able to subdue them and bring them into custody.

Captain Paragon, interviewed at the scene, explained that he had been tracking Hell Razor for some time, and this coincidentally led to him catching Professor Mandrake in the act of sabotaging the dam. When asked to comment on the motivations for the attack by the rogue transhumans, Paragon said they were probably attempting to "...cause havoc by cutting off New Amsterdam's power supply." He continued: "Often disgruntled transhumans take out their frustrations on the world by creating this kind of chaos - and it's exactly that kind of thing that I'm here to stop."

Mandrake, who has avoided serious prison time in the past by relying on powerful patron Dale Winters to negotiate more lenient sentences, has been publicly disowned by Mr. Winters and is likely to face the full wrath of the judicial system this time around. On the other hand, Ray Mason's cause has been taken up by transhuman rights campaigner and aide to Mayor Boer, Janet Goodman, and it is likely he will receive a figurative slap on the wrist for his crimes - this is despite anti-transhuman protests outside the police station where Mason is being held.
