Re: The November Boredom Thread has the need to read
Dan Brown is good at starting a book, gets about 3/4 through and poorly wraps it up. I've only read Digital Fortress. Good start, flat ending.
National Treasure movies were perfectly OK.

Re: The November Boredom Thread has the need to read
So far it is just Vista SP 3. the only major downer is that they let you run in XP mode but your processor has to be capable of hardware virtualization with Intel VT or AMD-V turned on. How is my Intel Core 2 Quad 2.3GHz not capable of this?

Re: The November Boredom Thread has the need to read
hey, so what is the cleanest messenger client these days that uses the AIM profile? I just want a small window so sit on the right side of the screen that allows me to chat with people. I don't want to video conference, I don't want to play games, or have it check the weather or stocks, I just want to IM. Does that exist any more?

I just use Meebo.com Sits in my browser, can pop it out if I want, and since it's browser based, I can access it from any computer.

Re: The November Boredom Thread has the need to read
Why does my order need to be "tendered" at the post office for two days before they can deliver it? It's computer hardware, not meat. It's in town right now, so just give it to me!

oh man, I thought that game came out on Tuesday. I'm like 200th over all for trade. Granted I was just going to put in on hold and wait for the cost to come down, but still, ouch.

Yeah, I just waltzed into Target and probably walked out with someone's pre-ordered copy. The girlfriend and I just played it. It's pretty great. She screwed us up so I picked up her character and threw him (Luigi) at a Koopa.

Mario games don't really drop in points that much, verbs. You'll be lucky to see it below 700 some day.

Re: The November Boredom Thread has the need to read
So how did you all do on Black Friday? I was up at 5am and pretty much only bought stuff for myself. I hit Best Buy and got two XBox games for $35 each that will get me 2400 goozex points total. I also bought Zack and Miri Make a Porno for $4. I hit Game Stop and bought the Wii Sports Resort with free second motion plus adapter for $50 Then I bought Blazing Saddles from Walmart for $2
I also bought the 4 pounds of Dunkin's coffee for $20, which is a really good deal.

Re: The November Boredom Thread has the need to read
I stayed home and played Gears of War. None of the deals looked worth the time and effort, with sleep being as valuable as it is now.
