OK back in the days when i was at school, my main ambition in ,life was to be a film maker.

I wanted to be Britians answer to quentin tarrantino, until Guy Ritchie fucked that up for me LOL

I left school and went to college and did an alevel in media studies and a ciy and giuild in TV production.

I did shit in the alevel on the account I'm a lazy fuck! and would of needed a nother alevel to go to film school...BUT again did shit in BOTH sociology and business sudies (I chose them for no major reason)

so I quit both, then when I did some TV extra work and discovered its a 5am starts, i though fuck that shit anyway and went a different direction (I'm still going in some directrion)

BUT I still had a ton of ideas for screen plays, some comedies, some action, one horror, a gangster flick or two etc etc

but could never get motivated enough to get started, and efeding came along so that jept my creativity fullfilled.

but the last couple of months I've been thinking about really trying to get a screen play done and today I had a brainwave,

as I have said I had lots of ideas, but I wanted to do something simple first and thought about all the great stories that have happened while going to gigs with mates and after watching jay and silent bob and seeing some real situationas being the basis of the comedy in your average kevin smith film, thought I can do this.

so I dusted my how t write a screen play boojk and took a ganders and have just satrted writing my first draft.

but what is it about you ask?

well thats why I want your help, I need to see if its any good, so hres the deal.

4 mates going on the road to a gig in another town.

simple, probably no plot, but its many different real life incidents, basicaly me and 3 main mates are the leads.

Benboon is obsessed by Zippy, Cider and monkeys
I'm the egotistical one who THINKS he;s great
Ad is the quiet one
Stait is the normal one

the last two characters are still in working mode, although real people, I'll base the film more round me and ben, they will just be lesser main characters.

I will inlcude along the way

-Ben owning a monkey which results in his chat up line "do you like monkeys"
-Ben's obsession with zippy from rainbow and his almost scyzo way of handling this.

Yes ben will be the main character (i have told many times he is a comedy character waiting to happen)

-An infamous moment when me and ben had an argument over who is the most rock n roll and who should be the lead singer in a band.
-Staits story of being in a tent with a mate and his GF and them thinking he is alseep so she sucks him off
-Possible use of ad being chatted up by a 34 year old bird who he thought was 20!
-Ben's theory on the millenium stadium
-bens theory on girls and gigs.

so basically, 4 lads on the way to a gig, gets pissed, tell stories, get to gig....

the big questuon is, should I have more plot? you kow problems in teh journey that make us possibly late etc, because I am going for the whole real feel to it ie theres no real plot in The Office, its just real occurances in an office.

so what do you think, honestly?

Morgy, I think that its a great idea. DO it brotha. But I would make mroe of a plot to it. Cuz really, if you look at the Smith movies, there is always some interesting subplots that go along with the main goal that gets achieved at the end of the flick. (i.e. side trips to the Dirt Mall and a Wake.)

But seriously, whatever you come up with, id be happy to read it and let ya know what I think. As long as it is spellchecked first
