 FRICKIN RIVERS!
I just lost in the $1 dollar tourney on two consecutive suck outs on the river. First one was Q was K 8 and one other on the board another guy goes all in and I call. He had KJ, on the river he get's a Jack to beat me. Then next hand Q along with two cards under 10 are on the board, me and another guy both are short stack at about 450. I make him go all in, he calls. I have pair of Queens he has pocket 6's. So of course guess what comes on the River. A six, it was fun but just frustrating to lose on the River like that.

Same thing happened to me, Goob...I raised to 150 I think on the small blind with a pair of 5's....one guy calls, and it comes up 5-3-2, with two diamonds. He puts in like 150, I raise to 750, and he goes over the top all in. I call, and he has a flush draw of diamonds, which he of course catches on the River. I say I am in the right despite the card counters around here saying he had like 17 outs. I hit a set on the flop, and there were no over cards. You ask me, if it wasn't the ghetto tourney for a buck, he would have never raised to all in with that draw....not after the strength I showed on the flop and betting afterwards. No way. There was no chance of him beating me without hitting a card....and there were previously 7 other people at the table....potentially taking away some of his diamonds.
They don't call it RiverStars for nothing. We all catch the River once in a while...but get used to it. LOL

Yeah both times with the Jack he had at most 3 outs although someone else might of had one and folded. And with the sixes he only had two outs.

Mikey, when figuring these odds, you dont consider how many of his diamonds are potentially killed by folded hands. Only deal in the cards taht you have seen.
